Follow your passion

Health, nutrition, and fitness are my passion. I work out almost every day – running or going to the gym, taking or teaching classes (spin-indoor cycling, weight training/body sculpting, bootcamp, TRX, boxing,  kickboxing, and yoga). I have been a certified personal trainer and nutrition counselor since 2006, and continue to add to  my training year after year with new specialties, skills, and expertise. As an early adopter of fitness trackers and heart rate monitor,  I a proponent for in-the-zone/peak performance training.

A long-time member and huge fan of MINT Gym, I highly recommend their great facilities, amenities, and extraordinary instructors (including me <wink>). I also head up the MINT Ambassador and Community Partner programs.

Whenever I travel, I love to discover new gyms and studios.  See my list of recommended Gyms and Fitness classes on Yelp.

Obstacle Course Races

I got into OCR in 2019 with my first Spartan Sprint race in June that year at Tuxedo Hill, NY. I had always thought it would be nearly impossible for me to do one of these races at my age, and on my own. It turned out, I embraced the challenges, am always getting a bit better, and now enjoy coaching others. They are a ton of fun!  I completed 6 Spartan races that first year, earned my first trifecta, and finished 2nd in age group in my first Spartan trail run. I also absolutely love the Bonefrog Challenge races, and have enjoyed a few Savage Races as well.
My goal was for 2020 is to earn a double trifecta with Spartan and a Trident with Bonefrog but obviously that got put on hold.  So, in 2021, I’m thrilled to say my ambitious goals were back on track and I earned my first Bonefrog Trident and 6 Spartan Trifectas! #biggoals #pushyourlimits.  In 2022, my goal is to run my first Ultra Spartan race, which I did in Fayetteville, NC, and complete 8 Trifectas.
